Don’t agree on your definition of the Socratic Method. I know that that is the way the Wiki defines it but maybe the Wiki has not dug deep enough,
I prefer this definition of the Socratic method:

I think that Socrates was closer to a ZEN teacher than to a teacher of the adversarial method.
And we can discuss. 🙂

Thanks for your comment and happy to discuss. Note I said Modern.. generally I believe that people use the ‘socratic method’ as an adversarial one instead of collaborative in part because the way people tend to cross-examine.

Here is the nugget of what I wrote – I think critical thinking and creative thinking don’t play well together. Both are needed but at different stages. And different people can respond better to one methodology.
